Rudbeckia maxima 

Common Name: Swamp Coneflower 

Habit: 7’ x 3’ 

Flowers:  Intense yellow petals dangle from tall brown cones.  

Foliage: Clumps of silvery-blue foliage give rise to stately flower stalks. 

Exposure: Full sun to part shade.  Will tolerate most soils, but is happiest with wet feet.   

Water:  Seems to pretty drought resistance despite it’s swampy origins. 

Uses: Specimen, water gardens, fence-rows, back of the border, and cut flowers.
